Cindy Taylor Grapenthin, Ph.D., LLC

Dr. Cindy Grapenthin is a licensed psychologist with a doctoral degree in Psychology from Indiana State University with a specialization in school and clinical child psychology. She completed her doctoral internship at the Hawthorn Center in Northville, MI, an inpatient facility for children with chronic mental health issues. Dr. Grapenthin’s background includes training and experience in clinical, school and outpatient programs. She has been in private practice for the past 10 years and previously worked as a school psychologist in Northern California, Chicago and North Fulton County in Georgia.

Dr. Grapenthin has extensive clinical experience working with children, adolescents and families dealing with a wide array of issues including family transitions and adjustments, learning challenges, depression, anxiety, attachment issues, and behavioral problems. She provides therapy and psychological assessment for individuals children and families around behavioral issues including ADHD, anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Bi-polar Disorder, depression, oppositional behaviors and relationship issues. She counsels families experiencing life changes including divorce, remarriage, and loss. Dr. Grapenthin specializes in psychological evaluations and developmental assessments for children and individuals ages 0 through 21 who may be experiencing developmental delays, learning difficulties, and/or emotional concerns.

Dr. Grapenthin has over 20 years of training and clinical experience working with children and families. She provides consultations to school and conducts workshops for educators on a variety of mental health issues. She welcomes the opportunity to collaborate with other specialists including pediatricians, psychiatrics, educators, counselors and social workers. Dr. Grapenthin is a member of the Georgia Psychological Association, American Psychological Association, Georgia Association of Play Therapy and a nationally certified school psychologist.
